What is ClassicFit?
ClassicFit is a set of classic trainings that already exist among several fields like:
- Aerobic Running
- HIIT (High Interval Intensity Training)
- Calisthenics
- Weight training
And it follows a simple methodology: make it harder & repeat.
ClassicFit tries to minimize injuries risk by excluding exercises with too much weight or other exercises putting a lot of pressure on articulation.
All the proposed exercises on classicfit.org have been selected in order to enhance the whole body by requiring the minimum set of equipments, which are:
- pullups/dips bar
- bench
- weights
~30% of all proposed exercises require only you & some space.
The main skills to improve focused by ClassicFit can be defined by the 2 following pairs:
- endurance-force
- force-endurance
We use pairs because the first following set of current proposed trainings will focus on endurance then secondly on force:
While the second set is the opposite, force will be the main focus then comes endurance (and so muscle hypertrophy comes as well as a consequence of a force&endurance training):
- military press
- bench press
- deadlift
- biceps curl
- biceps reverse curl
- overhead triceps extension
- upright row
- rear delt fly
Note that all ClassicFit trainings (including warmup & stretching) will enhance many other skills like:
- power
- speed
- agility
- flexibility
- breathing, etc...
But the main focus here are endurance & force because they are easier to monitor and classicfit.org even proposes some metrics to measure them: check the Classic Body Score (CBS).
These kind of trainings have been used for years by athletes, militaries, cinema hero actors or even anyone who wants to stay healthy as long as possible. So some people might already have done ClassicFit trainings without even knowing it.
The aesthetic body transformation is not the primary goal of ClassicFit trainings. Actually, the body transformation is just a consequence of the exercises you choose to do, how far you go, how you do it (for a same exercise, a lof of variants exist) and your genetics/morphology.
